Amber Chemical Divests Assets of Reactamine Technology, LLC Subsidiary to Carboline Protective Coatings
Lawrenceville, GA - January 31, 2010 - Carboline, a division of RPM, Inc. (NASDAQ: RPOW) has acquired certain assets of Reactamine Technology, LLC.
Reactamine is a niche manufacturer of industrial and decorative coatings with Polyurea as their core technology. The company is known primarily for its durable coatings for chemical and industrial application, specialty floor coatings and coatings for blast mitigation under the trade name ExtraBlast. The product line also includes joint sealants, quick set epoxies and foam insulation. These technologies will be added to the diverse product portfolio that Carboline currently offers the industrial community.
Key Reactamine marketing & sales and technical employees will join the Carboline team thus maintaining continuity for existing business and providing a foundation of experience enabling Carboline to integrate and grow the business.
Reactamine Technology was a member of the Amber Chemical Group, an international specialty chemical group that develops diverse products for niche markets. This divestiture allows Amber to focus on its core business anchored by specialty silicone-based technologies.
